OCR is Optical Character Recognition

Through optical recognition equipment, the visible characters are quickly recognized and converted into signals that can be recognized by the computer, and displayed in the computer as editable characters. In layman's terms, it is to scan the text you see through the scanner, and the scanner will input the characters into the computer in the "keyboard form".

OCR-A and OCR-B are widely used in passports, bank checks, serial number tracking tags, credit card markers, cash registers, license plates and postal mail.

The OCR-A and OCR-B fonts include various sizes of OCR-A and OCR-B fonts (6 sizes in total). These fonts conform to the latest ANSI standards X3.17-2000 and X3.49-1982. Special symbols for Eurobank are also included in each font.

The OCR-A & OCR-B font package contains a total of 8 OCR-A and OCR-B fonts. To meet ANSI measurement requirements, these fonts should be printed in size 12 font. Two fonts (OCR A and OCR B) have been added for application compatibility. They are the same as the OCRA I and OCRB I fonts, respectively, but with different font names.

The OCR-A font implements all the symbols required by ISO standards, including several euro bank symbols and national symbols.
